He was born in Naples (1960). Graduated in Modern Literature at the University of Salerno (1983) and in Psychology at the "La Sapienza" University of Rome (1987), he was trained in occupational psychology at the social psychology and work section of the Institute of psychology of the medical faculty of the University of Milan.

In 2013 he obtained the University Diploma in the Social Doctrine of the Church with the summa cum laude vote at the Pontifical Lateran University.
